Sodium bicarbonate is used as a flux for casting ingots in the metallurgical industry. In the machinery industry, sodium bicarbonate can be used as a molding aid for cast steel (sand). In printing and dyeing industry,
sodium bicarbonate can be used as color fixing agent for dyeing and printing, acid and alkali buffer,
after treatment agent for fabric dyeing and finishing; baking soda can be added into dyeing
to prevent the yarn tube from producing color flower, and it can be used as detergent for wool.
Moreover, Sodium bicarbonate can be used in the production of acid and alkali fire extinguishers and foam fire extinguishers, and it can be used in the production of rubber and sponge in the rubber industry.
